PESHAWAR: Chief Justice (CJ) Peshawar High Court (PHC) M Attique Shah has remarked providing relief and protection to people is foremost responsibility of state and no more slackness will be tolerated in this regard.
He gave these remarks during hearing of the case related to dilapidated condition of Indus Highway (IHW).
Adjourning hearing of the case till today (Thursday) the CJ PHC has summoned authorities of all institutions today (Thursday) .
The CJ PHC while expressing concern over dilapidated condition of IHW remarked this road has turned into forest. It is hard to travel on it. It is claiming precious lives . People are facing difficulties.
The CJP PHC inquired from NHA authorities during the hearing of the case this road will be made like GT road or motorway till when. Is any step being taken for safety of people.
