TANG to expand cooperation in energy, modern agriculture and digital economy this year: Country Head Mansoor-ul-Hassan Siddiqui

ISLAMABAD: Country Head of Chinese educational technology company “TANG Pakistan,” Mansoor-ul-Hassan Siddiqui, has said that in 2026 the company will further enhance cooperation in sectors such as energy, modern agriculture and the digital economy. He said the initiative aims to produce a high-quality skilled workforce through effective integration of industry and education, thereby strengthening the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, he said that 2025 proved to be a milestone year for the China-Pakistan TVET Industrial Center of Excellence (CPTICE), as the institution moved from initial planning into the phase of practical implementation. Under the strategic guidance of the governments of China and Pakistan and with strong support from partners, significant progress was achieved in institutional development, alignment of standards, project operations and network expansion.
He said that the joint development and approval of vocational skills and curriculum standards had progressed successfully, while a digital course resource library covering multiple sectors had also been established. The successful graduation of the first batch of the dual-degree program demonstrated the effectiveness of the joint training model, while the “Chinese language + vocational skills” and short-term training programs not only enhanced technical capacity but also strengthened cultural ties.
He added that the organization of high-level bilateral activities and forums further strengthened the role of the CPTICE platform and expanded both the scope and depth of cooperation. These practical results show that the institution is emerging as a central hub for integrating TVET and industry between China and Pakistan, serving as both a bridge and a driving force.
He said that in 2026, CPTICE would further deepen cooperation based on the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits. The institution will focus on improving operational systems, enhancing coordination with the governments, educational institutions and industrial sectors of both countries, and ensuring effective project implementation.
He said priority areas would include new energy vehicles, modern agriculture and digital skills, where integrated industry-education models would be promoted. At the same time, the training of teachers and the expansion of international technical certification centers would support the sustainable development of Pakistan’s TVET system.
He further said that standardization and digitalization are the fundamental pillars for regulating educational cooperation and ensuring project quality. Since 2021, the Chinese Secretariat of CPTICE has worked with institutions and industries from both countries to develop vocational skill standards, curriculum frameworks and digital courses.
He said that by the end of 2025, two vocational qualification standards had been completed, while the development and approval of 25 curriculum standards for joint programs had been finalized. Another 13 standards are undergoing the Pakistani approval process, and one is under development. Similarly, the number of digital courses has reached 153, of which 82 have been approved by Pakistani institutions and incorporated into teaching.
He reiterated that in 2026 the institution would further promote cooperation in sectors such as new energy, modern agriculture and the digital economy, and produce a high-quality skilled workforce through effective industry-education integration to further strengthen the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan.
