PESHAWAR: As per media reports ANP has suffered a major political set back as widow of Haroon Bilour and daughter in law of Bashir Bilour has joined PML-N.
Samar Bilour has announced to join PML-N during her meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Samar Bilour said she has met prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and news of her joining PML-N will come from PM Secretariat.
It is pertinent to mention here Samar Bilour was elected from constituency of her husband Haroon Bilour as MPA. There had been earlier reports suggesting she was joining the PPP.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Samar Haroon Bilour into the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), marking a significant political development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Samar Haroon Bilour, along with Saeeda Jamshed and Jamshed Mehmand, met with the Prime Minister in Islamabad.
The meeting was also attended by PM’s Advisor Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs and PML-N KP President Engineer Amir Muqam, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf, Minister for Public Affairs Unit Rana Mubashir, and PML-N Provincial General Secretary Murtaza Javed Abbasi.
During the meeting, Samar Haroon Bilour praised the Prime Minister’s leadership, highlighting economic stability, a people-friendly budget, and the country’s steady path toward growth.
She expressed her desire to see Khyber Pakhtunkhwa follow the development models of Punjab and the federal government.
Samar reaffirmed her commitment to working with the Prime Minister and the party leadership to serve the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed her into the party, extended best wishes for her political journey, and appreciated her dedication to public service.
He also acknowledged the sacrifices and contributions of the Bilour family to the nation.
