Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, where both sides discussed expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, economic development, and cultural exchange. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also present at the meeting.
President Zardari warmly welcomed the ambassador and reaffirmed the historic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, rooted in shared faith, cultural affinity, and mutual trust.
He emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral relations for the collective benefit of both nations and highlighted Pakistanâs investor-friendly climate. The President encouraged Saudi investors to take advantage of the various opportunities available across Pakistanâs economic sectors.
Zardari also appreciated the Kingdomâs consistent support during challenging times and praised Saudi Arabiaâs role in promoting regional peace and stability. He underlined the importance of continued collaboration at regional and multilateral forums, where both nations share common views.
President Zardari requested the ambassador to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a long-standing strategic partnership, bolstered by strong diplomatic, economic, and religious ties. The Kingdom remains one of Pakistanâs most significant allies, offering economic assistance, oil support, and investment cooperation.
